Where to Use It
Unlike traditional collars that can only be used on one dog, the Dog Silencer MAX can be used virtually anywhere, on any dog. It's even discreet enough to use on your neighbour's dog without drawing unwanted attention.
How It Works
Every time the dog barks, your Dog Silencer MAX will sent out a powerful high-pitched tone. Dogs find this sound extremely annoying, similar to fingernails on a chalkboard to a human. Most dogs learn pretty quickly that if they are quiet, they won't have to hear this irritating sound anymore.
How does the remote control work?
Even though the Dog Silencer MAX can detect barking up to 75 feet (23 m) away, the sound emitted from the unit can travel up to 300 feet (90 m) in a clear, straight path. If the dog is 100 feet (30 m) away, for example, his barking alone probably won't activate the unit. But, pressing the remote control will activate the MAX manually and the dog will still be able to hear the corrective sounds.
In addition, you can turn the microphone sensitivity all the way down and activate the device using only the remote control. Not only does this allow you to train dogs over 75 feet away, but you can customize your own dog's training. This could include staying off furniture, away from the trash and anything else you want to teach your dog to do. The keychain remote works up to 75 feet away from the main unit
Explanation of the Dog Bark Silencer
The Dog No Bark Silencer hears a dog barking either in your yard or property or in the next neighbours property.
On detecting the barking the Dog Bark Silencer blasts high pitched sounds that only the dogs in the area can hear. This ensures that they are nor effecting humans in the area. Making them both Safe and Humane. The Aim is to annoy the dog but avoiding harm.
Over a period of time (and this depends on the dog) the noise will educate the dog that barking brings about the annoying sound and to stop it he or she needs to stop barking.
Watch the Goodlife Dog silencer video below for more information. Remembering that the simple aim is to stop dogs barking and prevent barking in the future.
Will it hurt or harm the dog in any way?
No it will not. All Good Life products are designed to be safe and humane, and they are only designed to stop excess or nuisance barking. The training sounds are not painful or harmful, and if a dog really needs to bark, he can. This will not stop a dog from barking out of instinct (at an intruder for example).
Although not harmful, the sounds emitted by our bark control products may be too intense for puppies under one year of age as they are still developing their hearing. Please consult your veterinarian before using this product with puppies.
